Lib Dem Voice – the most-read independent website by and for Lib Dems – is run by a volunteer collective of Liberal Democrat members, activists and bloggers. The site is read by thousands of  individual visitors each month, one of the most influential political blogs in the UK.

If you have, by any chance, happened upon this site because you wanted to join the Lib Dems, you can do that here.  If you are wondering about whether you should join us, have a look at The Lib Dem Lowdown which explains a bit about the party.

For general enquiries, please email voice@libdemvoice.org. If you are interested in submitting a post for publication, please visit the page ‘Write for us!’.

We welcome contributors

Absolutely any Liberal Democrat party member or registered supporter is welcome to get involved with Lib Dem Voice, and we especially welcome opinion articles. These should be original pieces of writing, not previously published elsewhere. Please see our Write for us page for more details.

Lib Dem Voice is also committed to publishing opinion articles from non-Lib Dems which we think will be of interest to our readers. Please email the Editor if you have an idea for an article.

Our editorial policy

Lib Dem Voice does not belong to any group in the party. It is a neutral platform where the views of all members are welcome, both as articles and comments. The site’s editorial team Includes a diverse range of party members, each of whom is free to put forward their own views while maintaining an overall balance of coverage. As a group, we prize freedom of speech and this includes our editorial freedom.

Nobody, in or out of the party, has a right to be published on LDV. Articles are judged on merit and topicality.

Articles and comments which may contribute harm to marginalised groups will not be published. We will not allow a toxic atmosphere which fosters prejudice and discrimination.

There are occasions when people have to pick a side and we will do so when we consider it necessary to make our small bit of the world a kinder, more progressive place.
